Our Content Standards
Information You Can Trust

Since 2018, our team has been publishing helpful content about Wire Mesh and Gabions. We’ve helped thousands of customers tackle their projects, and we’re always looking for ways to make our advice better. Our goal is simple: to be the most helpful and honest source of information for anyone in the UK working with these materials.

Real World Experience

We don’t just write about our products from behind a desk.  We test them in the real world to ensure our instructions work as intended.  That’s why everything we publish is written by a member of our staff who has hands-on experience using the products. Please click on the author bio at the top of each blog page to check out their background. Show Image

Each piece of content will also be double-checked by a senior team member or an industry expert. This keeps the information accurate, practical, and easy to rely on. If an article has been checked, you will see a ‘Co Author’ added to the top of the blog.

How We Create Our Guides

Our editorial process is designed with our customers in mind. We spend a lot of time testing and refining our content to ensure it is as clear as possible, so it is easy to follow when you’re on a job.

Our 4-Step Editorial Process

Step 1 (Content Ideas): We collect customer questions and grade them so we know their importance. We also monitor and grade social media and forum questions surrounding our products to find new content ideas that actually matter to our customers.

Step 2 (Accuracy): We use the products ourselves to find the little tips and tricks that make sure the information is based on accurate, real-world experience.  If the details of a guide are easier to understand in an illustrated format, we will create technical diagrams (like our Chain Link Installation Guide) so you can see exactly what to do.

Step 3 (Expert Input): To make sure we haven’t missed anything, every piece of content is double-checked by a senior team member or an industry expert. This keeps our tips accurate, practical, and easy to rely on.

Step 4 (Monitored & Updated): We have a monthly meeting to review our content based on customer feedback, comments, and Google Analytics data. If a piece of content isn’t as helpful as we hoped, we will test or update it to bring it up to standard.

We publish case studies of our customers’ projects to provide inspiration to potential future customers browsing our website. You will find them in the ‘Customer Projects‘ area of our website.

Press Releases

The majority of the press releases we publish focus on the donations we make to charity.  Every month, we try to support charities by donating products. You will find the press releases in the ‘Our Charity Work’ area of the website

Our E-commerce Content

We treat our product descriptions like we treat all of the content on our website, with our customers in mind.

Product & Category Descriptions

Every category on our website includes detailed product information.  We don’t just write the content and optimise for keywords; we think carefully about how to display the information to make it easy for our customers to digest.  For example,

  • Tables: We have added tables instead of long written descriptions to make it easier for our customers to scan or quickly find the information they need.  Show Example
  • Calculators: We have developed calculators such as the gabion stone calculator and retaining wall calculator to allow customers to quickly and easily find out how many products they need to complete a given job.
  • Videos: Located under the ‘Video’ heading, we have created step-by-step video guides for the tasks that are easier to understand in video format. Show Example
  • Gifs: When a quick visual guide will answer the customer’s question, we have added gifs instead of videos.
  • Real-life images: If images help explain a detail more easily than a written description, we will add them.  All images are taken by our team in the office or warehouse.  We never use stock or AI images.  Show Image
  • Technical diagrams: If the information is clearer as a technical diagram, Timi, our in-house illustrator, will put one together.  Show Image

Product Demo Videos & Images

We have added product demonstration videos and images to 95% of our products. This ensures that our customers see exactly what they are buying from us. You will find them on our YouTube product demos playlist as well as each product page of our website

All product demo videos and images are recorded in our warehouse facility to give the customer a feel for our company premises, as you can see below

What Our Customers Say

Here are a few things that our customers have said about content.  They have been taken from our reviews page, Trust Pilot, Google Reviews or blog comments.

I bought and fitted a 120cm, green, PVC coated chain link fence using T-posts. Customer service was very helpful when I enquired about the availability of some of the items I required. All items arrived on time and were good quality. I found the intructional documentation and videos especially useful as I put the fence up myself and I am not a professional fence “put-er up-er”. Very happy with the product and the service.

Excellent service and quality products that are delivered promptly with no fuss. Can’t recommend more highly! Work in progress but videos on the website have really helped.

I have attached a few snaps of the way we used the gabions. Probably not what you were expecting!

We used them as plinths to present work for an exhibition entitled Echoes of Presence in the beautiful chapel at Brompton Cemetery in London.

We used them because they look very light and almost disappear which suited the location as well as being strong enough to support heavy glass and ceramic sculptures. Also, we only had a very short time to mount the show and take it down, so the gabions were easy to use and then to store afterwards.
We got many compliments from visitors about the gabions and everyone thought they were the perfect solution.

We felt the service you provided was very efficient, everything arrived on time and also you were so helpful in sending us the video showing how to attach the clips.
