How to Make a Christmas Wreath

Step by Step Tutorial

OVERVIEW

• Tools Required: Protective Gloves, Pliers, Wire Cutter, Glue Gun
• Materials Required: Chicken Wire, 2x Wreath Frames, Floral Wire (Green), Aluminium Wire, Foliage (Real or Artificial), Berry Sprigs, Christmas Ornaments, Optional: Sketch of a Christmas Sign (printed or drawn)

Step 1) Gather Your Materials

• Collect all the necessary materials and tools listed above.
• Decide the color scheme and style of your wreath to plan the decorations.

Step 2) Secure the Frames Together

• Secure the two frames together. Twist a piece of wire tightly at the top around them.

Step 3) Measure the Chicken Wire

• Measure the chicken wire to fit the size of the larger wreath frame.
• Leave an extra 2 cm of chicken wire around the edges for bending.

Step 4) Cut the Chicken Wire

• Use pliers or wire cutters to carefully cut the chicken wire to the measured size.

Step 5) Attach Chicken Wire to the Frame

• Bend and secure the chicken wire tightly around the wreath frame.
• Start by twisting the wire at four points around the frame to keep it evenly stretched and stable.

Step 6) Paint the Wreath (Optional)

• If desired, paint the frame in your chosen color.
• Allow the paint to dry completely.

Step 7) Start Decorating the Wreath

• Layer pine branches onto the frame as a base.
• Attach them securely to the chicken wire using floral wire.
• The best is to use green floral wire to keep the attachment discreet.

Step 8) Continue Decorating

• Arrange and attach ornaments, berry sprigs, and other decorative elements to the greenery.
• Distribute the decorations evenly or as per your desired design.

Step 9) Shape the Wire “Merry Christmas” Sign

• Use aluminum wire to create the “Merry Christmas” sign.
• You can follow a pre-drawn or printed sketch for accuracy.

Step 10) Attach the Wire Sign

• Secure the wire sign to the chicken wire frame using a glue gun.

Step 11) Enjoy Your Christmas Wreath

• Congratulations! Your Christmas wreath is ready. Hang it on a door, wall, or any space to enjoy the festive spirit.
