FAQs
How do I dog-proof my garden?
There are many options to keep your pet from escaping your garden or to keep neighbors’ pets out of your garden.
First, use the guide above to choose the best option for you and your canine.
For each option that we supply you will find installation instructions to help you put up the fence. You will find the installation instructions at the bottom of each of the category and product pages downloadable as PDFs.
What is good garden fencing for dogs?
Most hounds like to be able to look through a fence to see what is happening on the other side so it is best to make sure the fence has gaps for them to poke their noses through and have a sniff around. This is stimulating for your pet and prevents boredom.
For pets that like to escape, you will need to make sure you select the correct height, strength, and hole size. Please refer to the table above for guidance on this.
For more relaxed hounds you can erect a simple barrier to mark the edges of your yard where the dog should not go beyond. You will find the most economic options on this page
