Stop Dogs Climbing: Select Hole Size

If you are unsure of your dog’s ability to climb we suggest going for a mesh hole size of 25mm x 25mm or less. This will
ensure that your dog’s paws do not fit into the holes so they can lift themselves up and over the mesh.

Specify the post locations while maintaining a spacing of 2-3m between each post.
Step 2 – Dig Holes

dig-holes-for-t-posts

Dig a hole for the posts, ensuring that the depth of the hole is approx. one-third of the post’s length.
Step 4 (Optional) – Cement Posts In

cement-t-posts-in

After filling the holes with concrete, position your posts within the concrete.

Use a spirit level to verify that the posts are perfectly upright.

Step 4 – Attach Mesh to End Post

attach-mesh-to-t-post

Take sufficient mesh to cover the distance between the initial two posts.

Secure the mesh to the posts using wire ties or cable ties at each pre-drilled hole in the post.
Step 5 – Attach Mesh to All Posts

attach-mesh-to-t-posts

Proceed with securing the remaining section of the mesh by attaching to the remaining posts to complete the fencing installation.
Additional Step to Prevent Digging

large-dog-fence-prevent-digging

Dig a trench along your fence line, then fold the bottom of the mesh at a 90-degree angle to form a 15cm lip. This extension will cover the
trench’s bottom.

Use pegs to secure the extension to the ground at every 60cm,
then cover it by adding a layer of soil or mulch over it.
