Case Study Summary

This project showcases how terraced gabion retaining walls can be used to support changes in ground level within a residential development. The gabion walls retain the landscaped areas surrounding the apartment building while also supporting the earth beneath the adjacent parking area. Built as a series of mass gravity retaining walls, with sections constructed at a 6-degree incline to provide additional stability.
