Step 1) Cut your chicken wire
- Firstly, cut a piece of chicken wire mesh, depending on the desired size.
Step 2) Shape a cylinder
- Turn the mesh in the oriented direction, in a way that the holes to be taller than they are wide ( this will make easier to shape the top).
- Form the mesh into a cylinder shape.
Step 3) Twist wires together
- Next, attach the mesh together in the middle and twist the edges using pliers.
Step 4) Form a dome
- Gently squeeze the mesh holes towards the center to help bring the ends closer together and create a dome shape.
Step 5) Twist the top
- Twist the edges of the dome using pliers.
Step 6) Attach door knob
- Finally, attach a doorknob or other decorative accent to the top with the help of a glue gun.
Step 7) Finished cloche
- Your DIY chicken wire garden cloche is now ready to protect your plants from pests and harsh weather!
