Case Study Summary

This unique project was completed by Betongpark, who created a bespoke mini skateboard ramp for the ‘Skateboard’ exhibition at the London Design Museum.

One of the exhibition’s standout features was a chain link fence gate inspired by American schoolyards, adding an authentic touch to the space. The installation includes a mini skateboard ramp with an 8 ft vertical extension on the back wall, which visitors can see and even test for themselves.

“Chain link fencing is instantly recognisable, which made it the perfect choice for recreating the authentic look and feel of an American skatepark. It’s a simple material, but it plays a big role in bringing the whole installation to life”

Final Result

The chain link fence helps recreate the look of a classic American skatepark, making the exhibition feel even more authentic. Visitors can explore the history of skateboarding and, if they’re up for it, even book a session to ride the bespoke ramp surrounded by our chain link fencing.

“We ordered 25m of chain link fence and it was perfect for our installastion at the london design museum. 10/10 would use again. As well as pledging a donation to Dogs4Rescue. Hyped”
