What Happened?
At 4 a.m., John Summers, founder of Wire Fence and a local resident, installed the Dog Library at the entrance to Levenshulme’s popular Cringle Park. The library offers a selection of sticks, tennis balls, and throwing toys for dogs to take and enjoy, with the option for owners to leave something behind for the next dog.
The gesture was a holiday surprise for early morning dog walkers—a small Christmas gift for their pets. “We wanted to do something that would bring a smile to people’s faces and add a bit of holiday magic to their routines,” said John Summers. “It’s a simple way to spread joy this Christmas season.”
The Dog Library was fully funded and donated by Wire Fence, as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting local charities and community initiatives. For more information on Wire Fence’s charity and community work, visit their charity page.
