Wire Fence Supports UK Wild Otter Trust to Rebuild Their Home
On 9th October, Wire Fence supplied £1,256.64 of cost-price fencing to the UK Wild Otter Trust in North Devon, helping the charity rebuild its otter rehabilitation centre following the need to relocate from its previous site.
Otter Trust Needs to Relocate Home
On 2nd October 2025, the UK Wild Otter Trust announced that it needs to relocate its rehabilitation centre in North Devon. The charity has been given notice to vacate its current site, which includes otter enclosures and a hospital, and must dismantle and move all facilities while continuing to care for the animals.
A new site has been offered by a supporter, and preparations are now underway to begin rebuilding the Trust’s facilities and enclosures.
Wire Fence’s Support
Since 2024, Wire Fence has supported the UK Wild Otter Trust by supplying materials at cost price to help build otter rehabilitation enclosures. The company has also contributed to the Trust’s fishery support programme, which helps maintain healthy ecosystems for local wildlife.
Now, with the charity preparing to vacate its current site – and the original enclosures built with Wire Fence’s support due for demolition – Wire Fence has stepped in once again to help.
On 9th October, £1,256.64 worth of discounted fencing was delivered to assist the Trust in constructing new rehabilitation enclosures. The fencing will form the foundation for at least 20 secure spaces to house otters during their recovery.

The new fencing will be used to build our new enclosures which will house the otters in for rehabilitation. We aim to create at least 20 enclosures, possibly more space dependent!
